These adjusters have pushed industry standards and offer the finest resolution (50 microns per revolution) available. Standard screw lengths from 8mm to 25mm available on our website.


SPIE Photonics West 2016

07.24.15 – Randolph, NJ – Kozak Micro Adjusters is proud to add our newest product line to our catalog: M2.5 x 0.20 fine adjustment screws. These screws have been made to industry standards and dimensions with lengths from 8mm to 25mm available on our website.

SPIE DSS Expo 2014   

04.07.14 – Randolph, NJ – Kozak Micro Adjusters will be exhibiting at SPIE DSS Expo at the Baltimore Convention Center, in Baltimore, Maryland, from May 6-8. We will have our standard line of screws, bushings, and matched sets on display, as well as our new products, and the world's first commercially available 508 TPI (0.05mm pitch) ultra-fine adjustment sets. Free samples of our 508 TPI adjustment sets will be available to interested individuals. Come visit us at booth #434.

Standard & Custom Knobs

09.24.12 Randolph, NJ Kozak Micro Adjusters will soon be adding a line of standard knobs to our catalog of adjuster screws. Our knobs can also be customized to your specific needs with various knurl patterns, engraving and materials. Below is a sampling of the types of knobs that can be manufactured. Samples are available for the following screw diameters: 3mm, 3/16" and 1/4" (please specify the screw part # from our catalog that you would like with your knob). Spring-Loaded, Ball-Tipped Screws

07.25.12 – Randolph NJ – Kozak Micro Adjusters has received a patent (US Patent #8235636) for its newly developed spring-loaded ball tips. This new concept addresses two main issues with conventional adjustment screws:

Ball-Tip Wear: Since our new ball-tip is spring-loaded, it dampens the load as the ball comes in contact with a surface. Once the ball-tip is in contact with a surface, it remains static as the adjustment screw is turned, preventing wear from occuring at the contact point.

Axial Wobble: The spring-loaded ball-tip also helps reduce axial wobble with the "self-centering" aspect of the assembly. When a conventional adjustment screw is turned, the ball tip is not always aligned with true center because of axial wobble. The sping-loaded tip in our new design allows for the screw to "find" the true center by allowing the ball-tip to move ever so slightly, correcting for any error in the axial alignment.

This product is in addition to our standard 3/16"-200 pitch adjusters available up in up to 5.0" in length with bushings up to 0.5" in length to match your application are also available upon request.

Precision Micro-adjuster Cartridge

Precision Micro-adjuster Cartridge09.21.10 -- Randolph NJ – Kozak Micro Adjusters is proud to release our newly developed micro adjuster cartridge system for precision optomechanical adjustments. This new cartridge system is client serviceable through our patent pending design which allows the threaded core of the system to be removed independently of the carrier bushing, which can remain in your optomechanical mounts and positioning devices. The cartridge system is self lubricating providing just the right amount of continuous lubrication, while also limiting creep caused by lubrication migration; this occurs by cold flow which is commonly found with other lubricated adjusters. In addition, the micro adjuster cartridge provides design flexibility as the threaded core can be changed on the fly without damaging your mount or positioning device. This accommodates a wide scope of fine resolution hex adjusters from 80 TPI to the Sub-micron sensitivity provided by our ultra high resolution 0.10 mm inserts. Built in to the micro adjuster cartridge is a load sensing, self adjusting and wear compensating feature that mechanically responds to corresponding load on the threaded core in conjunction with the carrier bushing, providing exceptionally smooth, precise and repeatable movements for the life of your application. Our carrier bushing can be customized to meet your application so as to have either an external thread or smooth cylinder for press fit or bonded applications into your mounts and positioning devices.
